The Creative Bunker is a diverse and eclectic mix of upcycled and revamped creations using varied paint, stenciled and decoupage techniques. “It’s about getting people to connect with the old things in a new way.” I tend not to follow any rules when it comes to colour specs and designs as I think being creative and using your imagination has no set rules or regulations. When I rescue a tired or broken piece of furniture that was headed to the dump, I can spot the potential and automatically visualise what the revamped piece could look like. “The important thing is that you’re keeping stuff from landfill, but it’s also about taking control of the place that you live. Once a piece of furniture has been upcycled, it’s bespoke. Nobody else is going to have one like it.”
